About goatgrl

Observer of detail, writer of lists, and archiver of accomplishments. ...yeah, so the gmail account.... decided on for many reasons which include constant misspelling of both my first and last names integrated with a nickname that relates to the translation of my last name in Norwegian (Ya, I'm 1st gen American) as relayed by my Dad: Vei=way, berg=small mountain. So, you have: "a way or path through the mountains such as a goat herder would take". So Bruce said: "so, i should just call you "goat girl" then. :)

I love technology and have been extraordinarily blessed to have worked with some truly smart and forward-thinking employers who provided substrata enabling further technology education.

When I was very young, I took apart and reassembled an old record player – because I wanted to learn how the sound traveled from the needle to the speaker (mono, not stereo!).

I taught my Dad, at 70 years old, to use a Brother word processor where the ‘terminal screen’ showed just 14 lines of text. I am always poking around new design ware to see if it would be a good fit for a client.

I am also a builder (websites, welded sculpture and carpentering the crates to transport them, and ceramics); I honor those I work with for sharing their knowledge — about anything. Additional websites to check out of my doing: http://www.earthfabric.com and http://www.artblogtriangle.com.

I cannot stop reaching for more. I am perspicacious as well as persistent. I grasp the end result must start with an understanding of the outcome and capabilities of one’s tools before the work commences.
